SUPERCARS VOLUNTEER TERMS & CONDITIONS
By registering as a volunteer for any event held by V8 Supercars Australia Pty Ltd (Supercars) and/or attending such event as a volunteer, you agree to the following terms & conditions (Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions).
NOTE: Failure to comply with any of these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions may result in the termination of your role as a volunteer and Supercars or Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (Motorsport Australia) taking any further action deemed necessary by either Supercars or Motorsport Australia as applicable.
1. You confirm that you understand that the role is on a “volunteer” basis and no payment or specific incentive will be provided to you in return for your services;
2. you are responsible for my own personal health and safety during the Event/s;
3. you must abide by any applicable policies or guidelines made known to you by Supercars, including the Officials Event Handbook and any policies around bullying, harassment and use of social media;
4. you must abide by any workplace health & safety obligations applicable to you as a volunteer, including any directions given to you by Supercars or any Event staff;
5. you must ensure that the you obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses, certificates or others qualifications required to undertake the role applied for;
6. you understand that Supercars may accept or reject any volunteer application/s at their discretion;
7. you agree to participate in and fully complete, to the satisfaction of Supercars and/or Motorsport Australia as applicable, all training programs conducted by Supercars and/or Motorsport Australia and associated with your involvement with the Event;
8. you consent to the collection of my personal information by Supercars in connection with my involvement at the Event and acknowledge and agree that such information will be collected, handled and used by Supercars in accordance with its Privacy Collection Statement and the Supercars Privacy Policy and may be distributed to agencies and other senior officials associated with the organisation of the Event;
9. you declare that you are medically and physically fit and able to carry out normal duties expected of the position for which you apply for at the Event;
10. you confirm that you areover the age of 16 years;
11. you confirm that you are familiar with the requirements and activities of an event volunteer ;
12. you collect your accreditation from Supercars and you will not be permitted to attend the Event as a volunteer without carrying such accreditation as required. You must collect such accreditation from Supercars during the specified times as advised by Supercars prior to the Event/s;
13. you must wear the uniform provided by Supercars in accordance with any guidelines provided by Supercars. Uniforms must not be given to any other individuals or sold by you in any circumstances;
14. If you are unavailable for a shift due to illness, injury or extreme circumstances, you must advise Supercars as soon as possible. This must be done via email and an email response will be provided, failure to receive an email response will assume no advice has been received;
you may be invoiced an amount for costs incurred by Supercars in arranging uniforms and other equipment for your role if such uniform and equipment cannot reasonably be utilised elsewhere by Supercars;
15. you agree to undertake the tasks and duties of volunteering as applicable as communicated to you by Supercars, and follow all directions of Supercars or other Event staff;
16. you are solely responsible for any personal property brought to the Event/s and Supercars accepts no liability for such items whatsoever;
17. You must treat fellow volunteers, staff and all other Event attendees with respect;
18. You acknowledge and agree that failure to abide by these Supercars Volunteer Terms & Conditions may result in exclusion from the Event or future Events held by Supercars;
19. You understand that past acceptance does not guarantee a position at future events;
20. You understand that Supercars has the right to exclude any volunteer from all Event/s at their discretion if deemed appropriate;
21. to the extent permitted by law, you release and indemnify Supercars against any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense whatsoever and howsoever arising (whether direct or indirect) resulting from, or in connection with, any claim threatened or made, or action brought against Supercars in respect of, or in connection with, your attendance at the Event and Supercars will not be liable to you in any way for such loss, liability, damage cost or expense Supercars;
22. You understand that imagery of volunteers at the Event/s may be recorded and reproduced by Supercars in various commercial formats including the Supercars’ Volunteers Facebook page.
23. Understand that all volunteers must abide by the Terms & Conditions as displayed at the entrance to the Event/s.
24. You understand that you must abide by Motorsport Australia’s ‘Return To Race’ document; and
25. You agree to abide by any direction provided by Supercars with respect to the management of Covid-19 at the Event.
26. Supercars may update these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions from time to time in order to address any safety concerns or the legitimate business interests of Supercars. The latest copy of the Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions can be found at www.supercars.com
