Welcome to the CVBS Volunteer application

Welcome to volunteering with the Cowichan Valley Basket Society (CVBS). Thank you for your interest in joining our volunteer team and supporting people experiencing food insecurity in the Cowichan Valley.

Volunteers are an important part of CVBS. Your time, care, and commitment help us provide dignified, no-cost food support in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment for our guests, staff, and fellow volunteers.

As part of the registration process, please take time to review the CVBS Volunteer Handbook. View it here. The handbook contains a lot of important information about volunteering at CVBS, but we ask that you pay special attention to pages 6 to 10, as these pages outline key volunteer expectations, confidentiality, privacy, health and safety, respectful conduct, and how we work together.

By completing this registration, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and understand the Volunteer Handbook and agree to follow CVBS policies and procedures while volunteering with us. We are grateful for your willingness to give back and be part of this important work in our community.
