NTAQ Volunteer Agreement
Thank you for your interest in joining the NTAQ (National Trust Australia Queensland) Volunteer team.
NTAQ volunteers are a friendly and diverse group of people of all ages, genders, backgrounds and skill sets so you will be likely to meet some fabulous people who contribute to showcasing the conservation of our Queensland in many different ways.
We value the contribution of every volunteer, and to ensure a harmonious and enjoyable working environment for everyone, please read and agree to our Terms and Conditions listed here.
Volunteer Terms and Conditions:
I understand and agree that as a Volunteer at National Trust of Australia Queensland (NTAQ), I am required to:
- Successfully complete an interview before being offered a place in the in the Volunteer program.
- Give my best efforts to commit to the program for a minimum of six months.
- Be prompt, regular and reliable in my volunteer service, by committing to one shift per week.
- Voluntarily offer my services with a clear understanding that there will be no monetary compensation or guarantee of employment.
- Pay a non-refundable Volunteer registration fee (includes uniform).
- Undertake all induction, training and other related activities required as a NTAQ Volunteer.
- Willingly work under supervision and follow directions.
- Be prepared to work in all weather conditions and accept that I will be on my feet for up to 5 hours at a time with a break.
- Always notify the Manager of the Volunteer Program if I will be absent due to illness, taking holidays, or family demands.
- Have a helpful, courteous, cooperative and positive attitude at all times in communicating with all guests to the Sanctuary, management, staff and other volunteers.
- I will read and adhere to the Volunteer Handbook.
- Wear the correct uniform i.e, name badge, volunteer shirt and wear strong, fully enclosed shoes. I understand I must supply my own shorts or trousers.
- Agree that NTAQ reserves the right to refuse entry or terminate my participation within the program without prejudice.
- Certify that all of the information I have provided in this application is current and accurate and advise NTAQ promptly of any changes to my details.
- Understand that NTAQ will not disclose my personal information to any third party except when required by law and/or in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and that my NTAQ records will be stored securely with restricted access.
