Level 1 Volunteer Requirements
Level I - General Volunteers - Limited, supervised roles with no unsupervised learner contact.
Requirements:
- Complete and submit the online Volunteer Application
- Signed and Acknowledged Volunteer Handbook
- Signed Volunteer Confidentiality Agreement
- Signed and Acknowledged Volunteer Handbook
- Signed Volunteer Participation Waiver & Release
- Signed Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Agreement to policies (FERPA, safety, code of conduct/volunteer guidelines)
Examples of Level I volunteer opportunities:
- Working in the garden during weekend hours
- Driving donations to campus
- Putting together packets at home
Definition of Volunteer
Volunteers are individuals who donate their time, without financial compensation, to benefit our school community. Volunteer participation may occur in a classroom setting during the school day or outside the school setting as part of an extracurricular activity. School policy prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, marital status, sex, religion, age, disability, or any other protected status as defined by federal, state or local law.
A person who comes to the school for a one-time special event, such as a guest speaker, presenter, or visitor is considered a guest.
