All volunteers must have, or be willing to obtain a current Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.
All volunteers must be willing to undergo program specific training which at a maximum may include 1 half day of SYC Volunteer Training, Responding to Abuse & Neglect Online Training and Safe Environments for Children and Young People Training (3 hour module).
Programs and availability will vary throughout the year dependent on client needs and position vacancies. Whilst we try out utmost to find a program to suit your location and availability, please be aware that sometimes this is not possible. Please keep your eye on Volunteering SA & NT or Seek Volunteering for vacancies.
SYC collects personal or private information about you in order to maintain complete and accurate Personnel files and to meet some government contractual or workplace reporting requirements. While employee information is generally exempt form the Privacy Act (1988), SYC assures that all personal and private information collected by SYC is protected by strict internal guidelines and will not be disclosed without your consent.
