Volunteer Agreement, Privacy Policy and Volunteer Policy
Volunteers are an important and valued part of Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS Trust (the Trust). We hope that you will enjoy volunteering with us and feel a part of our team. Our Volunteer Agreement, Privacy Notice and Volunteer Policy explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you.
Please read the full Volunteer Agreement here: Volunteer Agreement. If you are under 18 years of age, we will need consent from your legal guardian/parent – in addition to filling in your application form, please download and complete the Volunteer Agreement and return to us via email ccs.volunteers@nhs.net or via post.
When you submit an application to become a volunteer, we will need to hold and process personal information about you. We will collect and store your data for the following purposes: recruitment checks, recording details of completed training and volunteer hours, communication with volunteers, equal opportunities monitoring and audit. We commit to ensuring that this data and information, and any that volunteers may provide in the future, will be stored securely (and in compliance with legislation), not kept longer than is necessary, or used for any reason other than what volunteers consent to, and will never be shared with any third party. Our volunteer application and records management system is provided by Better Impact, their policy can be read here: https://support.betterimpact.com/siteguide/privacy-uk-eu/
Please read our Trust's Privacy Notice (Data Protection) here: Trust's Privacy Notice
Our Volunteer Policy can be found here: Volunteer Policy
Before you can start volunteering with us, you will need to undertake recruitment checks as recommended by NHS Employers. We will support you with these - but please do not apply if you are not prepared to undertake the following recruitment checks:
- Right to work & ID checks
- DBS check (criminal record check) if relevant to your volunteer role
- Overseas police check (applicable if you have lived in the UK for less than 5 years or if you have spent more than 6 months living in another country in the last 5 years)
- References
- Occupational health check - this includes evidence of immunity to measles, rubella & chickenpox. You can get this information from your GP, or we can arrange a blood test to check your immunity and offer you subsequent immunisations if needed.
By submitting this application form you agree to undertake recruitment checks, to the Volunteer Agreement, Privacy Notice and to follow the relevant Trust Policies and Procedures if you are accepted as a volunteer.
