Who can volunteer at Irving Animal Services?

Volunteers must be 18 years or older. Volunteers are required to complete Volunteer Orientation. Please sign up under "Opportunities" after submitting your application.

What can you do for Irving Animal Services?

In the Volunteer Manual, you’ll see a variety of job descriptions. Look through them, and then talk to the Volunteer Coordinator who will help you to decide where you are needed most based on your background and your interests. We are looking for committed volunteers who can participate in IAS activities at least once a month if possible. Regular participation helps the animals at IAS and keeps you connected with the rest of the IAS team. We always encourage our volunteers to ask our staff what is most needed at that time as it can vary.

If you have a hard time coming to Irving Animal Services during normal hours of operation, there are other ways you can volunteer. We always need help with special events and donation drives. Be sure to check your email for upcoming events and opportunities to get involved at IAS.
