Volunteer Code of Conduct Policy
As a volunteer for San Leandro's Recreation and Parks Department, your role and responsibilities are important.
By signing up to volunteer, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to the following:
- Understand that your role as a volunteer is supportive. City Staff will lead the event, and you are expected to complete your assigned tasks.
- Understand that you are expected to work throughout the event, arrive on time, and carry out the duties given to you.
- Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude. Avoid negative comments about the City, its personnel, or other volunteers of the program.
- Dress appropriately and act professionally.
- Establish and maintain good and frequent communication with the event leads throughout the project.
- Be in the appropriate mental and physical condition to work. It is prohibited to be under the influence of or in possession of illegal drugs, controlled substances, or alcohol when working in the program.
- Maintain an environment free of harassment and discrimination.
- Refer any patron in need of first aid immediately to the event leads.
- Follow instructions in the event of an emergency.
- Direct all questions or concerns to City staff.
As a San Leandro volunteer, please understand that your volunteer status can be revoked at any time.
