The Cheltenham Trust Volunteer Agreement
We are grateful for the time and support that you are offering to us but equally we want this to be a fulfilling and enjoyable experience for you. Like any good relationship it is important to outline what each party can expect from the other so we can build a mutually rewarding partnership.
What can you expect from us?
- The opportunity to learn new skills or develop existing talents.
- A chance to make new friends and contribute as part of a team.
- We will provide you with training, briefings and support for your role.
- We will listen to your feedback and make improvements wherever possible.
- We will support and encourage diversity and equal opportunities in our team.
- We will provide you with a lanyard and a Volunteer card to give access to Volunteer benefits and discounts.
- We will involve our Volunteers in activities and events that are taking place across The Cheltenham Trust.
What are we expecting from you?
- You will be friendly and welcoming to all visitors.
- You will be reliable and punctual and notify us if you are unable to make your volunteer time.
- You will appreciate and respect all colleagues including other Volunteers and Cheltenham Trust staff.
- You will be an ambassador for the Cheltenham Trust.
- You familiarise yourself with the role responsibilities and carry these out to the best of your ability.
- You don’t discriminate against or harass others.
- You maintain a respectable appearance, dressing appropriately for your role and taking responsibility for your own personal hygiene and cleanliness
Please note that this agreement is for a voluntary position, is in honour only, and is not a legally binding contract of employment with The Cheltenham Trust.
