Hold Harmless & Photo Consent Agreement
The minimum age to volunteer is 12. Volunteers 12-16 years old must have a parent/guardian or group chaperone volunteer alongside them. Volunteers under the age of 19 must have a Parent/Guardian Consent Form on file prior to volunteering.
All Volunteers must agree to the following terms and conditions:
I understand that my service to the Montgomery Zoo is as a volunteer and no compensation will be paid to me or any of my assigns.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the City of Montgomery, the Montgomery Zoo, and the Montgomery Zoological Society, its employees, agents, and volunteers, from and against any and all injury claims, damages, demands, suits, liabilities and expenses incurred as a result of work performed.
I understand that Zoo Staff will make reasonable efforts to contact the Emergency Contact listed in my profile in the event of a medical emergency or injury. Nevertheless, I give permission and authorize employees and agents of the Montgomery Zoo to provide first aid, consent for any emergency medical treatment deemed necessary, including transportation to the emergency room via ambulance. I agree to pay all costs and expenses incurred in connection with any such treatment. I release and hold harmless the City of Montgomery, Montgomery Zoo and Montgomery Zoological Society, its employees, agents and volunteers from any claims, liabilities, actions, demands, or losses which may arise from provision or omission of medical care.
I further consent to the use of any photographs or video footage taken may be used in future promotional or marketing materials of Montgomery Zoo and its programs or events. I understand that images may be used in print publications, social media, television interviews, group presentations, and official zoo and/or city websites. I also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall be paid for use of any images or video footage.
I understand that this consent is in effect for any events that I may serve in a volunteer capacity for one year of the date of my application submission.
