Volunteer Requirements:
- Attend a volunteer information session (online meetings held in spring, summer and fall - in March, July and October).
- Able to attend an orientation &/or training session
- Be in good physical and mental health
- COVID vaccine and Influenza vaccines are recommended
- As per Provincial health directives, mask - wearing may be mandatory if directed, e.g. during respiratory season.
- Are able to make a one year commitment
- Provide contact details for two references after your interview
- Submit a free online Criminal Record Clearance after being contacted for an interview
- Complete online courses after being accepted as a volunteer
- For positions with direct patient contact at BC Children's & Sunny Hill, previous work or volunteer experience with children is required.

Violations of this Policy will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary actions being taken, up to and including termination of employment/assignment and/or revocation of privileges.
