Volunteer Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer. Volunteers must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Volunteers need to commit to at least 3 shifts per month to remain active. Once you are marked inactive, you will have to go through orientation and any additional training courses again.
  • We need dedicated and consistent volunteers. Volunteers are expected to be consistently active for at least 6 months.
  • There is a mandatory $25 registration fee that will be collected at orientation. Please bring exact cash.
  • Applicants remain in the system for 2 months. You must start volunteering within 1 month of attending orientation.
  • Volunteers are required to complete Fear Free Shelters course prior to volunteering:
