Beverley Community Lift (BCL) - Volunteer Policies
Disclosure & Barring Service
Volunteer drivers and passenger assistants require an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (previously know as CRB), which will be arranged and paid for by BCL. Due to the nature of the work you will be undertaking you are required by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 to declare all criminal convictions including those that are spent, please provide details where asked to do so.
By clicking the acceptance checkbox you are agreeing to go for a DBS check, as well as giving BCL permission to hold a copy of your record on file, to carry out an online annual check and to share information for safegaurding purposes where necessary.
Driving Licence Checks - Volunteer Drivers only
BCL carry out driving licence checks every 6 months, by clicking the acceptance button you are giving your consent for us to do this.
Data Protection
The information you have provided will be used only for the purposes specified and will be stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018. By clicking the check box you are giving your consent for your information to be shared with other BCL volunteers and staff as necessary for the purposes specified.
We will not share your information with any third party, unless we are legally obliged to do so.
