Regina Humane Society Organizational Policies for Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in applying to become a volunteer with the Regina Humane Society (RHS)!
Prior to filling out your application, please review the following:
1. A Basic Criminal Record Check (CRC) is required to be completed before volunteering with the RHS. If you're interested in volunteering to support RHS Education Programs, a Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.
A previous CRC or Vulnerable sector check can be utilized as long as it was completed within the last year. This document will be needed during the application process as either a scanned document, or a clear photo. If you are uploading a pdf file, please ensure it is not password protected. *Please do not drop off Criminal Record Checks at the RHS, these should simply be attached to your online application*
You can apply for a criminal record check with the Regina Police Service online directly here: https://reginapolice.ca/resources/criminal-record-check/
*To apply online, a letter from the RHS is not required to receive the Volunteer application pricing ($10) which is at your own cost.
To apply in person, or to get a Vulnerable Sector Check completed, you will be required to book an appointment to complete this check in person (with the Regina Police Service). More information regarding how to do this is available at this link: https://reginapolice.ca/resources/criminal-record-check/
*Note: When applying in person for a Criminal Record Check, you may need a letter from the RHS stating that you are applying to Volunteer with us. To request this documentation, please email volunteer@reginahumane.ca.
2. All Volunteers are required to sign the RHS Volunteer Code of Conduct & Waiver form.
This form is now available to sign when creating an account in Better Impact! Please continue creating your account and read through the Volunteer Code of Conduct and Waver before signing.
3. Review the Age Restrictions Regarding RHS Volunteer Programs
