Whether you're exploring a future career in healthcare, developing new skills, or looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community, our volunteers play an important role in helping create an exceptional experience for everyone who comes through our doors.
At this time, we are only recruiting for the following volunteer role:
Gift Shop (16+)
Help create a welcoming and positive experience for patients, families, visitors, and staff by providing friendly customer service in our busy hospital Gift Shop. This role is an excellent opportunity to build communication, teamwork, and customer service skills while becoming part of the GGH community.
Schedule: Mon–Thurs 10:00am-1:00pm, 1:00-4:00pm & 4:00-6:00pm | Fri 11:00am-1:00pm & 1:00-3:00pm | Sat & Sun 11:00am-3:00pm
We are currently seeking volunteers who can regularly commit to one of the scheduled shifts listed above.
Before applying, please ensure this is a good time in your life to commit to volunteering regularly. Volunteer positions require reliability, consistency, and an ongoing commitment. Due to a high volume of applications, response times may be longer than usual.

All volunteers must complete the following before starting:
- Submission of an application & two written references.
- Successful phone screen and interview.
- Successful completion of the Health Review Immunization Form & 2‑Step TB Skin Test.
- Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (18+).
- Completion of mandatory GGH e‑Learning modules.
- Meeting the qualifications of the volunteer position description.
- Completion of volunteer orientation & role‑specific training.
