Cash for College Volunteer Agreement

Cash For College Volunteer qualifications:

1. Minimum of an associate’s degree or are currently enrolled in postsecondary education.

2. Availability during the school day.

3. Sign a Cash For College volunteer agreement and not have any criminal convictions.

4. Returning volunteers attend a 1-hour training and volunteer for two 3-hour shifts.

5. New volunteers attend a 2-hour training and volunteer for two 3-hour shifts.

Cash For College General Guidelines:

Confidentiality: Volunteers will have access to personal information about students (finances, demographics, etc.) By signing this agreement, you promise to maintain confidentiality when working with students. No personal or financial information you encounter should be shared with anyone. All student information must solely be used for the purpose of Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) completion.

Appropriate Boundaries: I agree to uphold appropriate boundaries with students. Volunteers must refrain from all physical contact. All communication should be positive and reinforce a college-going culture. Confine all communications to the workshop. If your student would like to communicate outside of the workshop, let them know that the program requires all volunteer communication to take place during the volunteer workshop.

Photo Release: I grant to Alabama Possible, their representatives, and employees the right to take video and

photographs of me and my property in connection with their Cash for College campaign. I authorize

Alabama Possible, their assigns, and transferees to copyright, use, and publish the same in print

and/or electronically with or without my name and for any lawful purpose.

By submitting this form, I agree to the above policies and guidelines. The Alabama Possible and school staff has the right to ask volunteers to leave if behavior is destructive towards student success.
