Information to consider prior to application
Hello and thank you for showing an interest in becoming a One Meal Volunteer. We look forward to welcoming you to the One Meal team!
We try to make volunteering easy; but there are some things that you should be aware of before applying.
1. We reserve the right to request a Working with Children Check or Police Clearance Certificate from any of our volunteers.
2. We request that all volunteers undertake a Food Handlers Basic Training Course before engaging in any of our activities. This is a simple online course that takes around 1 hour to complete.
Please also be aware that opportunities at some locations are limited and we may not be able to accommodate all requests for placements.
Intellectual Property, Assets and third-party relationships
Intellectual property created by volunteers in support of One Meal, including such items as content, logos, pictures and videos, remain the property of One Meal.
Assets created by volunteers in support of One Meal, such as social media sites, pages and accounts, remain the property of One Meal.
Relationships with third parties which are created or leveraged by volunteers in support of One Meal, including any associated content such as third party contact information, remain the property of One Meal.
Note: A third party is any individual, organisation or other entity who is not a volunteer nor the registered charity One Meal - it makes a difference.
Confidentiality
Volunteers are expected to respect the privacy of our patrons. If any information of concern is provided to you by a patron, this should be escalated in confidence via the service Team Leader / Area Coordinator.
Photos / Social Media
One Meal is very active on social media and photos of volunteers often appear on various social media platforms and the One Meal website. One Meal reserves the right to use images and cannot provide assurances with regard to the use of digital images.
Safety & Risk
Volunteering with One Meal involves interacting with patrons and volunteers as well as handling service equipment. As such volunteering with One Meal is not without risk. Volunteers must conduct themselves in a manner that does not compromise their safety or that of others.
Incident / Accident
All incidents, accidents or events involving unwelcome behaviour must be reported to the Team leader or Are Coordinator (or if preferred to One Meal Head Office).
One Meal reserves the right to terminate the services of any volunteer. Termination decisions will be at the discretion of the Area Coordinator or the Board.
If you wish to proceed to the next stage of your application please indicate your acceptance of these guidelines and login below. We look forward to working with you.
