Everyday Adoption Center Volunteer Policies
This is the volunteer application for Animal Friends Alliance's Everyday Adoption Center (EAC) location in Westminster, CO! Please ensure you are applying for the correct location. :)
Please note that as of right now we are only in need of dog walking volunteers!
Location: The EAC is located inside PetSmart Westminster, 10460 Town Center Dr. Westminster, CO 80021. Please ensure you have reliable transportation to and from volunteer shifts!
Age Requirements
All volunteers must be age 18 or older. We cannot accept anyone younger than 18, even if accompanied by an adult.
Volunteer Time Commitment
Our volunteer program is primarily designed for long-term volunteers who can volunteer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. As of right now, we cannot accommodate short-term volunteer projects with strict deadlines (example: school projects, graduation requirements, community service, etc.) as we cannot guarantee completion of a specific number of hours by a certain date.
- We prefer volunteers complete at least 2 shifts per month. Shifts are typically 2 hour long.
- We ask that new volunteers commit to at least 4 months of service, but we hope you'll stay much longer!
Available Volunteer Roles
We are currently only in need of dog walking volunteers!
These are the following available shift times Monday-Sunday:
3:00pm - 5:00pm
5:00pm - 7:00pm
Volunteer Fee
As part of our onboarding process, we ask for a one-time non-refundable $40 volunteer fee to help cover the costs of your volunteer t-shirt, nametag, background check, and your account on our volunteer platform. We hope it is a small price to pay for the good feeling of knowing that you are helping animals and people in our community!
