I agreed that the information provided in this application is true and confirm that I am over the age of 18. I also confirm that I understand and agree to adhere to the Beale Park polices outlined below:

As a Volunteer at Beale Park, it is expected that you will:

  • Agree to attend a short induction before starting your journey as a Beale Park volunteer.
  • Provide Beale Park with a new clear DBS check prior to starting as a Volunteer and every 3 years thereafter. You understand that this will be at your own cost.
  • Maintain a professional manner whilst in The Park.
  • Accept responsibility for your own professional actions and decisions.
  • Undertake any training offered by The Park relevant to your volunteering role including regularly re-reading the Volunteer handbook.
  • Share information in a timely way that will enhance understanding, especially with regard to security and safety.
  • Have a duty of care to yourself and others (Health & Safety at Work Act 1974).
  • Wear the Beale Park Volunteer tabard provided to you to identify you to staff and visitors as a Volunteer. You agree to wear a plain dark blue or black top underneath the tabard in keeping with the Beale Park uniform colour. You agree to wear work appropriate clothing with consideration taken to the child friendly environment that you will be volunteering in.
  • Wear any personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, if issued with it.
  • When working in either the Gardens, Estates or Animal departments, you agree to wear appropriate safety boots which you will provide for yourself. Please note that volunteers without suitable footwear will not be able to work in these departments for health and safety reasons. Please understand that our priority is to keep you safe.
  • Take responsibility for any property issued to you in order to undertake your volunteering role. You understand that losses and damages must be reported to management immediately. You will also ensure that all Park property is returned to your supervisor before leaving the Park each day.
  • Refrain from smoking/vaping within the Park and will only use the dedicated smoking area in the Main Car Park.

If you have any questions on any of the above, please contact HRAdmin@bealepark.org.uk.
