Organization Policies

Please read this page carefully as it contains important information about the program and application process.

In order to be considered for Zoo Crew you must:

Be between the ages of 13 and 17.
Submit a completed application no later than May 9th including:
- The completed application.
- A signed Volunteer Release and Waiver of Liability form.
- Three Letter of Recommendation forms emailed, or mailed to us by the writers.
- Proof of a negative TB test issued in the past year.
- Proof of a current tetanus vaccine.

By applying to this program, you and your parent/guardian are committed to:

Performing 40 hours of volunteering.
Attending one scheduled orientation meeting.
Abiding by the the Saginaw Children's Zoo's policies and protocols on dress, attendance, behavior, etc.
Notifying the appropriate person if unable to volunteer when scheduled.
