Spring Intake Pet Screening and Orientation Dates

The following are the dates and locations available for pet screenings and orientation for this intake cycle. You will be sent a booking link after your application has been reviewed and approved. Dependent on when you apply after our online applications have opened, some dates and locations below may be fully booked.

Please note: you must be available to attend 1 pet screening (per pet) and 1 orientation during this intake cycle. If you cannot make the dates below, please consider applying during our next intake.

PET SCREENING DATES:

  • Monday, June 1st - Surrey
  • Sunday, June 7th - Vancouver
  • Sunday, June 14th - Vancouver
  • Monday, June 15th - Surrey
  • Sunday, June 21st - Vancouver
  • Saturday, June 27th - Vancouver

ORIENTATION DATES:

  • Saturday, July 11th - Burnaby
  • Saturday, August 8th - Burnaby

 

IMPORTANT:

  • The majority of volunteer opportunities are available during weekdays. Shifts in evenings and on weekends are limited.
  • Pets and Friends receives a high number of requests from healthcare facilities and community organizations seeking pet therapy services, and many are currently waiting to be matched with a dedicated pet therapy team. To help us meet these needs, priority will be given to applicants who are willing to be placed at one of these locations before other placement requests are considered.
