Waiver for Volunteering and Internships
Individual VOLUNTEER and INTERN AGREEMENT, WAIVER, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
San Antonio Botanical Garden
The San Antonio Botanical Garden (“SABG”) agrees to permit the individual listed to participate in volunteer service activities, contingent upon acceptance of the terms of this agreement by the SABG. Participation is voluntary and without compensation of any kind.
These activities may take place at the San Antonio Botanical Garden or at off-site locations, including partner sites, restoration areas, or other locations designated by SABG. All volunteer activities are performed at the individuals own risk.
Participation may involve inherent risks including, but not limited to, slips, trips, falls, exposure to weather, insects, plants, tools, or equipment that may result in injury or property damage. The undersigned affirms that all participants are at least 18 years of age unless otherwise approved in writing by SABG and that adequate insurance coverage is maintained, or responsibility for costs related to injury or damage is assumed. On behalf of the individual, the undersigned releases and waives all claims against SABG, its officers, employees, and agents arising out of participation in volunteer activities, including claims based on negligence, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Permission is granted for SABG to photograph or record volunteer activities for educational or promotional purposes without compensation.
