Volunteer Application Policies

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The Library District! Before applying, please review our volunteer requirements:

Patron Status: Volunteers must be active Library District patrons.
Age Requirements: Teen Volunteers must be 14–18 and currently in school; Adult Volunteers must be 18 or older.
Court-Ordered Service: We cannot accept applications for court-ordered community service.
Placement Requirements: Volunteers must meet the minimum skills, have the time availability, and support the Library District’s mission and values.
Background Checks (Adults 18+): A background check is required only if an applicant is selected for a volunteer placement. All costs are covered by the Library District.

We review applications year-round and contact applicants when a suitable opportunity becomes available.
