Volunteer Commitment Requirements
Welcome!
Before completing an application, we want our prospective volunteers to understand the eligibility and commitment requirements
Eligibility Requirements
Each volunteer role within the Freeman Arts Pavilion Pathway has specific qualifications and expectations, which are outlined in the individual role descriptions. Volunteers are responsible for reviewing these descriptions and ensuring they meet the qualifications for the positions they choose.
In addition, all Freeman Arts Pavilion Pathway volunteers must be able to:
- Successfully complete all required orientation and training sessions
- Meet all background check requirements as outlined in the Volunteer Handbook
- Obtain and maintain ABC Certification, if applicable to their assigned role
- Review, sign, and agree to all required volunteer handbooks, pathway supplements, and confidentiality agreements
- Work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, humidity, and rain
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time, often on concrete surfaces
- Work in a loud and potentially dimly lit environment
These requirements help ensure volunteers are prepared to perform their duties safely, effectively, and confidently while supporting successful event operations.
Eligibility Requirements
- Complete a minimum of 8 events/performances per season
- Shifts must take place during scheduled public events or performances at Freeman Arts Pavilion.
- Required training, orientations, or onboarding sessions do not count toward the eight (8) event minimum.
Communication
- Please note that when providing your contact information please add the best communication method for you including email and phone number. Majority of our communication comes through email and text. When selecting if you would like to receive text, please know we use text as our primary form of communication for last minute updates including show/shift cancelation.
Student Volunteers (under 18 years of age) must reach out directly to the Volunteer Manager at 302.231.1216 or volunteer@freemanarts.org.
If you understand the requirements and are willing to commit, please continue to complete your application!
