Application Form - 2026 Meguiars Bathurst 12 Hour

By registering as a volunteer for the Bathurst 12 Hour event (Event) held by V8 Supercar Television Pty Ltd (Supercars) and/or attending the Event as a volunteer, you agree to the following terms & conditions (Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions). You also agree to abide by the Conditions of Entry as displayed at the entrance to the Event  and Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd’s (Motorsport Australia) ‘Return To Race’ document.

NOTE: Failure to comply with any of these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions may result in the termination of your role as a volunteer and Supercars or Motorsport Australia taking any further action deemed necessary by either Supercars or Motorsport Australia as applicable.

1. By registering as a volunteer for the Event, you confirm that you:
   1. 1. understand that the role is on a “volunteer” basis and no payment or specific incentive will be provided to you in return for your services;
      2. are over the age of 16 years and if you are under 18 years you must have parental/guardian approval. The parent/guardian must read and consent to these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions;
      3. are medically and physically fit and able to carry out normal duties expected of the position for which you apply for or been assigned at the Event; and
      4. are familiar with the requirements and activities of an Event volunteer.

Volunteer Responsibilities

2. You must:
   2. 1. abide by any applicable policies or guidelines made known to you by Supercars, including the Officials Event Handbook and any policies around bullying, harassment and use of social media;
      2. abide by any workplace health & safety obligations applicable to you as a volunteer, including any directions given to you by Supercars or any Event staff;
      3. ensure that you obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses, certificates or others qualifications required to undertake the role applied for or assigned; and
      4. collect your accreditation from Supercars during the times advised by Supercars prior to the Event and acknowledge that you will not be permitted to attend the Event as a volunteer without carrying such accreditation as required.

Volunteer Selection

3. You acknowledge that:
   3. 1. Supercars may accept or reject any volunteer application/s at their absolute discretion;
      2. past acceptance does not guarantee a position at future events; and
      3. final role allocation will be determined by Supercars in its absolute discretion.

Volunteer Training

4. You agree to participate in and fully complete, to the satisfaction of Supercars and/or Motorsport Australia as applicable, all training programs conducted by Supercars and/or Motorsport Australia associated with your involvement with the Event.

Conduct and Safety

5. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own conduct during the Event.
6. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own personal property and hereby release Supercars from any  liability for loss or damage (including any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage) to any personal property brought into any area of the Event.
7. You must:
   1. 1. undertake the tasks and duties of volunteering as communicated to you by Supercars, and must abide by all directions given to you by Supercars and/or  Event staff, police, Event security or any person appointed as an authorised person under any relevant legislation or instrument; and
      2. treat fellow volunteers, staff and all other Event attendees with respect.
8. Supercars reserves the right to refuse you entry to, or remove you from the Event or future Events, cancel or confiscate your accreditation or take any other action which Supercars considers appropriate if:
   2. 3. you breach these Supercars Volunteer Terms & Conditions; or
      4. Supercars reasonably believes that your conduct negatively impacts, or has the potential to negatively impact the safety, security or comfort of other patrons, volunteers, staff or participants, or the integrity of Supercars or motorsport in general.

Uniform

9. You must wear the uniform provided by Supercars in accordance with any guidelines provided by Supercars including but not limited to those in the Officials Event Handbook.
10. Uniforms must not be given to any other individuals or sold by you in any circumstances.
11. If a uniform item becomes damaged, this should be reported to Supercars and Supercars reserves the right to invoice you an amount of costs for repair or replacement.
12. If you fail to return the race official bibs and/or other uniform items required to be returned, Supercars reserves the right to invoice you an amount of costs for replacement.
13. If you are unavailable for a shift due to illness, injury or extreme circumstances, you must notify Supercars as soon as possible via email. You will receive a confirmation response; if no response is received, it will be assumed that notification has not been provided.  
    If you fail to notify in a timely manner, you may be invoiced an amount for costs incurred by Supercars in arranging uniforms and other equipment for your role if such uniform and equipment cannot reasonably be utilised elsewhere by Supercars.

Liability

14. You acknowledge that you enter the Event at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, you release and indemnify Supercars against any loss, liability, damage, cost or expense whatsoever and howsoever arising (whether direct or indirect) resulting from, or in connection with, any claim threatened or made, or action brought against Supercars in respect of, or in connection with, your attendance at the Event and Supercars will not be liable to you in any way for such loss, liability, damage cost or expense.

Imagery

15. You acknowledge that Supercars and third parties authorised by Supercars may make recordings or take photographic images at the Event which feature you or your likeness. You hereby grant Supercars and such third parties permission to use such recordings and images in any media, including but not limited to the Supercars’ Volunteers Facebook page, and for any purpose without compensation or payment of any kind to you or the need to personally attribute you.

Privacy

16. Supercars may collect personal information (within the meaning of Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) about you which is necessary for it to operate the Event and to help promote the Event and subsequent Events and related and similar events. You consent to the collection of your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Collection Statement and the Supercars Privacy Policy which contains information about how you may access and seek correction of your personal information, how you can complain about a breach of your privacy rights, and how a complaint will be dealt with.

General

17. Supercars may alter these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions if such changes are reasonably necessary to address safety issues or otherwise protect the legitimate interests of Supercars. Copies of the latest Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions will be available at www.supercars.com.
18. The invalidity or illegality of a provision or any part of a provision in these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of, or the valid and legal remainder of such provision of, these Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions.
19. These Supercars Volunteer Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in the State of New South Wales and both you and Supercars submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
