Terms and Conditions

Requirements to Volunteer inside the hospital:

  • At least 14 years old
  • Requires a long-term commitment of at least 60 hours of service, helping 2-3 hours per week
  • Required tuberculosis (TB) screening
  • Required proof of flu vaccine (October through April)
  • Documentation of immunizations (Varicella, Hep B, MMR, & TDap AND/OR a signed declination form)
  • Required background check--costs $15.00+fees (only required for volunteers age 18 or older)
  • PLEASE NOTE: In order to submit an application, a letter of reference (non-family member who can speak to your character) is required.  Applications without a letter of reference will not be considered.

College student applicants, please read the following: Due to the amount of applications we have recently received, interviews may be scheduled several weeks after you submit your application. If you apply during a semester, please note that there is a strong chance you would not begin volunteering until the following semester. After an interview, the onboarding process can take 3-4 weeks before you begin volunteering.
